Timothy R. Croak, President A native of Toledo, Tim graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School and the University of Toledo with a bachelor's degree in history. He has been in the financial services field since his graduation in 1982. In high school, Tim was captain of the football team, chairman of the honor council and a lead in the school musical. While at the University of Toledo, Tim was a student senator, director of student services, member of Mortar Board and president of both his fraternity, the largest student organization on campus, and the Blue Key National Honorary Fraternity which represents the top thirteen students on campus. In his senior year, he was named the outstanding fraternity member in the state of Ohio. In 1987, Tim obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter designation and three years later he obtained his Chartered Financial Consultant designation. He holds series 7, 63, and 24 securities licenses. Tim started his career at the Savage and Associates agency of Columbus Life. There, he was a 12-year member of their management team, member of their elite President's Club, and was the youngest lifetime member in the country of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table. In September 1999 he was named the managing partner for New England Financial in his hometown of Toledo and served in that role for 5 years. During that time New England Financial was named a Heritage Award winner and was a three-time finalist for the rising star firm of the year award. In February 2005, Tim started a new independent firm with several other financial services professionals - Creative Financial Partners. Located in Perrysburg, Ohio they have their own building and offer a complete array of financial, insurance, and planning products and services. Tim has had many speaking engagements around the country and has served on many community boards and organizations. Included in this service has been terms as founding member and president of both the Gesu Parish Heritage Foundation and the Our Lady of Toledo Shrine. He was the first-ever recipient of the University of Toledo Young Alumni of the Year award, the first presenter for the National Association of Life Underwriter's career builders program, and the second-ever recipient of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Alumni of the Year Award. Tim enjoys his family, his wife Sarah and children Emily and Eric. He likes to travel, play golf and tennis and coach Gesu's grade school football team. Tim's financial focus includes: His greatest desire is to help individuals and families develop financial freedom. The best financial tip he can share is to "divorce your ego from your financial decisions." By doing so, you're better able to objectively assess the differences between needs and wants. |
